Being Outdoors
Quitting Smoking is one of the biggest suggestions the American Heart Association recommends to combat heart disease.
I have never had to quit smoking, so I do not have any first-hand experience in kicking it. However, when I kicked Sugar I had to use many of the same techniques recommended to make the transition permanent
1) Being careful of triggers. Many smokers association driving with smoking, so finding something else to do with their hands is recommended
2) New ways to decompress. Instead of coming home from work and having a cigarette, how about going for walk? Do it until it becomes a routine and you do not have to even think about it
3) Be patient with yourself and others. Remember you are going through withdrawal and might not be your best self for a while. It will pass.
This concludes the American Heart Association 7 Guidelines
Tomorrow we start with Love. I’m starting with friendships.
