Self Love

Self Love is coming to a close along with February.

As a reminder Self Love is more than bubble baths, but it is to value our wishes and desires.

It is a healthy regard for our own self interest.

We can practice Self Love by setting up healthy boundaries with people in our lives.

We can practice Self Love by being mindful when we are going about our day.

We can practice Self Love by finding a tribe of friends who will be there for us when the chips are down.

We can practice Self Love by living in a state of gratitude, seeing the day as what worked instead of what didn’t. The world will be a different place from this mindset shift alone.

We can practice Self Love by honoring our body when we eat food in such a that that will nourish our mind, improve our body and enhance our spiritual practice.

We can practice Self Love when we clean our the clutter from our house and our lives.

We can practice Self Love when we stop comparing ourselves to others. No one is better than you are and no one has a perfect life. We are all trying to figure it out as we go alone, so be kind even in your thoughts.

We can practice Self Love when we do what we love. It can be calligraphy, surfing or exploring the Amazon. The only requirement is it must light you up.

We can practice Self Love by being aware of negative thoughts we have about ourselves. At first I wasn’t a fan of this picture taken by the talented Jenn Reid. All I could see were was negative. Why was I laughing so big? Did my face look fat? Are my teeth white enough? My hair is flat. Now I see how happy I look. Same picture, different point of view.

I have loved exploring Self Love this month with you❤️
